Poll: Do Work at home Dads Clean?

cleanhm_500
In my extremely unscientific observation via Twitter, I’ve found that many Work-at-home-Moms find themselves busy enough to justify the hiring of help to keep their homes clean. Yet surprisingly, most Work-at-home-Dads do not have the luxury of hired help. In fact, it’s frowned upon by their significant others. Could this be a double standard? Are men just too proud to admit they need a helping hand? I need some raw data to get a handle on this question.

Please take a moment to answer the poll below.

  • Around the house I’m Mr. Fix-It, short order cook and I handle all the nasty bits that may come about.

That seems to be the case with Dads I’ve spoken to but I’m not sure if that’s the norm. As mentioned in my post, a lot of Work at Home mothers seem to have hired help whereas men don’t or simply do not consider it an option.

  • I do most of the clean up and especially all of the daily tidying up but when it comes time to really get in and clean we share that, dividing up rooms like kids trading baseball cards.
