What’s the game play experience like?
Overall, I found the game provides an entertaining yet challenging experience for players ages 6 and up. Yet for young and old players alike, the 30 second time limit can be frustratingly too short. Not everyone has the same skill level in memorization or drawing. An extra allotment of time would help alleviate any potential backlash during game play. To the game maker’s credit, they recommend not using the timer at all for younger players as well as having young kids practice drawing the different character traits from the features board to help familiarize them ahead of any game play. The opportunity to draw and share each others art work provides a unique environment of laughter, learning, and fun. In terms of replay value, Cartoon It! has created a winning product that families will enjoy for many years.
