Being a father certainly has its challenges. Yet parenthood also allows one to revisit the toys of one’s child hood. The re-emergence of Transformers merchandise has been a welcome surprise. Movies, animated series and more have reached an entirely new generation of fans creating a bridge between parents and their children. Given the right product, the potential for invaluable experiences fostering a closer bond arise. Such is the case with Hasbro’s latest toy series release Trnasformers Construct-Bots. A toy line that true to the 1980s catch phrase for the Transformers franchise, has more than meets the eye.
We received the Transformers Construct-Bots Wheeljack and Starscream to review. I enlisted one of my resident toy experts aka my 7 year old son to help me test out the product. Similar to other brands hero construction toys, the object is to build a figure. What differentiates the Transformers Construct-Bots from other brands is their ability to also morph into vehicles. Factor in the built-in fun factor of the Transformers back story and you end up with toys that offer exceptional creative play value and return on investment. They also make for great stocking stuffers. Available in stores and online now.
