Sesame Street celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. An amazing milestone the generations of parents and kids appreciate as well as The Count…”one year!..ah ah aaah…two years!…ah ah aaah…three years!….” Sesame Street and the New York Public Library are paying tribute to the milestone by unveiling behind-the-scenes footage, photographs, storyboards, and offering a child-friendly area where kids can read and play games.
Sesame Street has been a generational bridge for millions of families and continues to adapt and thrive as an integral partner in educational television programming for children. This event promises to be a uniquely personal retrospective for all who attend. The “Somebody Come and Play” celebration runs from Thursday, September 18 to January 31 at New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center.
