Last year’s announcement that Nintendo would bring several popular characters such as Mario and Link to Universal Parks and resorts stoked the imaginations of millions of video game fans. Yet very few details were available about the video game giant’s plan at the time. All that changes with the recent release of a short video featuring the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto and Universal Creative’s president Mark Woodbury.
In the video below, the creative duo share some insight into how the partnership originated as well as providing a better idea of what fans can expect when the Nintendo-themed park area opens.
According to Shigeru Miyamoto and Mark Woodbury, video game fans will be treated to rides and attractions that offer something for people of all ages. Expect a rollout of the Nintendo-themed environments to Universal Studios Japan, Universal Orlando Resort, and Universal Studios Hollywood in the near future. For millions of fans, being able to immerse oneself in a video game like environment will be a dream come true. We can’t wait to hang out with Mario and the whole gang!
