The Lion King and Sonic The Hedgehog both represent a collection of beloved animated characters. The problem arises when movie studios decide to create a non-animated live version. The recently released The Lion King and the soon to be released Sonic The Hedgehog movie exemplify the dilemma. Thankfully, digital artists from the internet have stepped in to “fix” the problem.
I used “deep fakes” to fix the Lion King
We personally love this hybrid approach. It still provides the live format while retaining the personality of the original film. It re-establishes the emotional expressions of the characters that the CGI’s realism removed.

If you’ve seen the original version of this movie version, Sonic’s appearance was jarring. Indeed, they even fitted Sonic with human teeth which was disturbing and creepy. This “fix” on the other hand, has a “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” feel to it.
What do you think? Are these “fixes” an improvement or just sour grapes from animation fans?
