Steve Burns broke the hearts of millions of kids and parents alike in 2002 when he departed the Blue’s Clues tv show after a 6 year run. Well, hope springs eternal, friends. Steve is back playing a pivotal role in a new live action movie called Blue’s Big City Adventure. An official trailer of the movie has just been released.
What’s in the official trailer?
We see Mr. Salt arriving outside a New York City brownstone as he attempts to track down current host Josh (Josh Dela Cruz). Mr. Salt claims he “knows a guy” who can help. The door opens revealing Steve Burns, wearing a detective-style outfit with a green-striped tie to match the shirt alluding to his signature shirt he wore on the original Nickelodeon show.
Steve ends up joining forces with his successor, Joe (Donovan Patton), as Josh ventures into Manhattan for a Broadway audition with Blue. Comedy mayhem ensues.
The bottom line is Steve is back, albeit only for a movie, on Blue’s Clues.
“Blue’s Big City Adventure” begins streaming on Paramount+ on Nov. 18.
