Whether you’re a professional videographer at an auto show or a Dad attending a school play, using the right audio gear matters. Arguably, what we hear can be just as important as what we see. Having purchased a fantastic camera recently, I realized the built-in mic provided subpar audio. Enter the Rode VideoMic Pro to the rescue.
After some trial and error with both the internal settings of my camera as well as the settings of the Rode VideoMic Pro external microphone, I was able to record sound that was exponentially better than the built-in camera mic. I loved the creative versatility the combination offered which normally would require a small team to achieve.
