We know what you’re thinking about Spider-Man: Homecoming. “Another Spider-Man reboot?” And you’d be right to feel that way. After all, too much of a good thing can become toxic. Yet given that this iteration of Spider-Man is being handled by Marvel itself rather than the good folks at SONY, therein lies the creative difference. We had a fantastic glimpse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Webhead in Captain America: Civil War. Watching the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming will seal the deal. We’re all in.
Spider-Man: Homecoming Official 1st Trailer
We love Tom Holland’s take as Peter Parker. The high school setting seems to be an integral part of the story instead of an afterthought. Also, there’s an independent film vibe to the look of the movie. Lastly, Michael Keaton captivates. He delivers a generic villain line that works remarkably well given the man’s stellar talent. The Vulture has never been shown on the big screen. He very well might steal this movie. July 2017 can’t arrive soon enough.
What do you think true believers? Are you excited about a new Spider-Man movie?
