Remember Peter Parker? You might not if you’ve been under the spell of Dr. Strange these past 5 years. Spider-Man: Brand New Day represents a new chapter chronicling the aftermath of life following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The trailer features the webhead (Tom Holland) going back to basics as a street level hero. He no longer has access to Iron Man technology for his suit. It’s now homemade. His personal life is in tatters since MJ (Zendaya) and his friends have no recollection of his existence as Peter Parker. In essence, he’s had to start over, all alone. His commitment to being Spider-Man has remained strong but Peter Parker’s perspective has taken a toll.
The trailer reveals Spider-Man in action, along with the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and the Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).
The script originates from returning Spider-Man franchise writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Also among the cast are Michael Mando, playing the Scorpion, Marvin Jones III as Tombstone, and Jacob Batalon returning as Ned Leeds. As of this writing, there’s still a mystery role by Stranger Things star Sadie Sink. Is she Jean Grey? Is she May-day Parker? Who knows.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is arriving in theaters on July 31, 2026.
