Female Superhero movies such as the upcoming Disney Marvel Studios release of Captain Marvel aims to change the dynamic in the traditionally male-dominated action genre. It’s not surprising to see that Disney has also tapped into one of its classic icons, Mary Poppins, a hero in her own right, in the highly anticipated sequel, Mary Poppins Returns. Both films feature strong female leads with a broad appeal to audiences of all ages. The first trailers for each movie will only add to the hype.
