I recently watched a comedic public service announcement from the Ad Council focused on fatherhood. Being that I have a daughter, the message resonated with me. It also made me realize I’ll need to stay in shape and work on my dance moves. Enjoy the video below.

Happy Birthday to Me
Happy Birthday to me. Another year officially logged into the history of my existence on planet earth. I awoke to a sense of disbelief that I’ve completed yet another full 365 day journey around the Sun. My sense of time, you see, became disjointed once I became a parent. Since that fateful day, I’ve lived each moment without concern for any regimented adherence to the calendar. Instead, I became aware of the passage of time through my children.
Daddy’s All Grown Up Now
My almost 2 year old daughter had never been to this particular playground before. New sights, sounds and smells ignited her senses. Geese splashed about in the pond. In the opposite direction, ocean waves crashed along the shoreline. Full of confidence she hastily proceeded down the steps of the playground apparatus only to lose her footing.
