As the 2011 holiday season begins in earnest, it’s easy to get caught up in the marketing blitz designed to entice consumers to spend with reckless abandon. Like clockwork consumer shopping increases exponentially in the months of November and December. Contributions to charitable organizations increase as well but not nearly at the same rate. A company called TOMS Shoes aims to change the paradigm.
