When Idahoan® created their Premium Steakhouse® line of potato soups, it was inevitable they’d seek out a #KingofSoup. Who better to inform the masses about the tasty goodness found in said potato soup. Besides, as a Dad, I know a thing or two about making the best of a situation. The opportunity to make dining-in a special occasion struck a chord. Perhaps that was a hunger pang? But I digress. I was happy to have the chance to partake in a memorable evening that would offer culinary delights as well as the coronation of yours truly. Did I mention I am the #KingofSoup?

4 Tips for Packing Healthy School Lunches

Too soon to be thinking about packing healthy school lunches? Not at all. Make this the year you’re ready ahead of time rather than setting yourself up for total mayhem when the school year begins. One of the biggest challenges on a daily basis will be how to ensure your children eat a nutritious lunch when they are at school. Most public schools offer a free daily lunch, yet many kids reject the selections offered (“because they’re gross Mommy!”) and snack on foods that provide nothing but empty calories instead. To ensure your child gets the energy they need for a day of learning, here are four tips for packing delicious and nutritious school lunches that are simple to prepare.
Congratulations Baby, you have a Brand New Dad

I’ve been a Dad for nearly 10 years. My grey hairs and sleep-deprived appearance prove it. Yet in my rare moments of coherence, a smile emerges across my face from cheek to cheek. I’m more than just a father. And I’m thankful to the little humans in our family. You see, although science informs me my wife and I created our children, it was my kids who transformed me into a Dad.
Yo-kai Watch Me Now

Captivated yet deeply bewildered. That was my initial impression upon watching the first few scenes of Yo-Kai Watch. Based on a video game of the same name developed by Level-5, Yo-kai Watch is an extremely popular kid’s anime style animated series. Just how popular you might ask? The movie version of Yo-kai Watch beat out Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the top movie in Japan. The good folks at Hasbro sent me a set of Yo-kai Watch based toys and a dvd featuring episodes from season 1 of the anime style animated series. Myself, along with my in-house toy expert staff aka my children, couldn’t wait to find out if Yo-kai Watch lived up to the hype.
Dads Need to Eat Well Too

I’m a Dad. Believe it or not, I too need to eat properly. Honestly though, once you’re a parent, making time to provide oneself a wholesome meal tends to slip through the cracks. Aside from work responsibilities, the little people in our lives aka kids, commandeer the bulk of the day. That results in eating what’s readily available at the moment. I’m fairly certain grabbing a handful of potato chips and downing a sport drink doesn’t equate to nutritional balance. The obvious solution is better time management and food choices. Ideally, the ability to prepare a wholesome meal that’s convenient would come in handy as well. Enter STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen entrees to the rescue.
How Time Travel and Fatherhood are one in the Same

I woke up this morning aware it was Father’s Day. My children, although making an earnest attempt, have not quite mastered the whole whispering so no one within earshot can hear them. “Hurry up and finish making the card before Daddy wakes up!” “Daddy is going to love, love, LOVE THIS!” Still, even though I was semi-comatose from a combination of broken sleep and downright strange dreams(Running for my life holding a bag of Cheetos while fighting off giants from the Game of Thrones), I couldn’t help cracking a smile. Moments like these have filled my life since becoming a Dad. Like guideposts, each memory interconnects allowing my mind to time travel from place to place. I can’t always trace the exact origin of the details, but the feelings ring true as if experienced for the first time.
