Now in a partnership with the Sesame Workshop, Hasbro Pulse HasLab has created a fully poseable, full-size, photo-realistic Cookie Monster replica. Toys and Gadgets: SkaZooms Reignite Kid Powered Gaming Fun

If you take a hard look at the toy industry in 2015, there’s an abundance of battery powered gizmos. Without question a lot of these technological wonders can provide fun experiences for kids of all ages. Still, given that most of these toys are operated remotely, there’s a tangible level of disconnect between the toys and the human beings operating it — a disheartening reality attributed to the digital era. Thankfully, all is not lost. At a recent Time To Play Magazine toy industry event, I had the good fortune of discovering SkaZooms — an innovative collectable toy line that reignites kid powered gaming fun.

Batman Visits New York City’s Times Square

I’ve received several Public Relations invitations to media events over the years. Quite frankly, they almost never live up to the hype. But every once in awhile, you luck into something special. Yesterday I had the opportunity to hang out with the caped crusader himself, the classic TV series Batman, in New York City’s Times Square at Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Odditorium. Did I mention he drove up in the Batmobile?!! He was there to unveil Mezco Toyz new Batman Mez-itz line from the 1966-68 “Batman” TV series.

I discovered Monster Factory based on recommendations from colleagues involved with Toy design and puppetry. I’m glad I took their advice. With a roster of uniquely designed plush monster character toys as well as a line of monster themed kids clothing, Monster Factory offers a variety of choices. They’ve also produced original comedy video shorts which follow the antics of Monster Factory characters as high school students.
